Jerome Saltarrelli, PhD

Jerome Saltarrelli, PhD Jerome Saltarrelli received a M.S. and Ph.D., concurrently, in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2007. Upon graduation, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Rice University in the Department of Bioengineering. Following his postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Saltarrelli was appointed as a Research Scientist/Lab Manager in bioengineering at Rice University, along with a collaborative appointment at Baylor College of Medicine in the Division of Cell and Gene Therapy. Prior to and during graduate school, Dr. Saltarrelli was employed in the histocompatibility/immunogenetics laboratory at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans for 3 years and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport for 6 years. In December 2009, he accepted a position as a Director-in-Training in the Histocompatiblity and Immune Evaluation Laboratories, now at Baylor College of Medicine, under the direction of Dr. Ronald H. Kerman.
