Evan Pivalizza, MD
Dr. Evan Pivalizza is Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and director of liver transplant anesthesia (including kidney and pancreas transplantation). The university affiliated teaching hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital, has been one of the busiest organ donation centers in the nation for some time. Dr. Pivalizza is active and interested in transplant issues within the state (via the TMA) and nationally within the American Society of Anesthesiologists and has ongoing research interests in coagulation in liver transplantation. He is excited about the potential venue that the TTS will be for anesthesiologists and critical care physicians in Texas with an interest in transplantation, as many are not exclusively caring for transplant patients.
