Larry Melton, MD, PhD, FACP
Larry B. Melton, MD, PhD, FACP, received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio in 1982. His internship and residency was completed at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Following his residency, Dr. Melton completed his nephrology fellowship at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and he remained in Boston as an Instructor in Medicine and Nephrology at Harvard Medical School for a year after completion of his fellowship. He is currently the Medical Director of Kidney/Pancreas Transplantation at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and the Dallas Transplant Institute. Dr. Melton is certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine. He has served on several committees for the American Society of Transplantation and is a pancreas councilor for the Texas Transplantation Society.
